I was reading an article on babyzone.com and it says the First Response test detects 100 miu of hCG and that by 10 days after conception, generally, your body makes 25 miu. Lucky me, i just bought a three pack of this brand. When will my body be up to 100 miu of hCG if i am pregnant?
Could this be causing false negs?
What is your experience with the first response test?

Your level of hCG should double every 48 hours once you get pregnant. Usually sensitive *** tests can detect hCG of 25, while the others detect it at 50. With yours, you’ll just have to wait a few more days for a positive result if you’re pg. It will cause a false neg if you test before your hCG is 100.
Blood tests give the exact hCG number. I just had them done at day 14, 16 & 18. My hCG was 8, 12 & 16 so my doctor said I’m having a chemical pregnancy & will miscarry any day now because the egg never developed after it was fertilized. So you know earlier with a blood test but it doesn’t mean it’s going to last.

Based on my experience, First response is pretty sensitive will show a positive 3 days after implantation (about 11 days after ovulation), using first morning urine…

Hi,
It depends on which First Response test it is. There is one called First Reponse Early Results test and that one detects at hcg 25 which would show up around 4 days before missed period.
The levels should double every 2 days so at 12 dpo the levels should be around 50 and at 14 dpo (day of missed period) the levels would be around 100.
